Parents want their children to grow up healthy and happy. Not only physical health, but spiritual health is also crucial.
- 重視與孩子的連結勝過服從
- 善良且堅定
- 依靠信任勝過恐懼
- 用同理心代替怒氣
- 帶著好奇心不評判
- 有意識的回應而不直接反應
- 認為孩子也應該被尊重
- When children feel valued and have a sense of belonging, they have the opportunity to grow into healthy, confident, happy, empathetic, and responsible individuals.
邀請各位爸爸媽媽們一起,打破世代傳統教養創傷的循環,成為孩子的好榜樣。
Emotional and mental health are just as crucial as physical health in raising happy and healthy children. Let's make sure we're supporting all aspects of their well-being.
Break the Cycle: My Journey to positive parenting
Hi everyone, I'm Pearl.
Like many parents, I used to wear two hats – a demanding marketing career at Johnson & Johnson for almost a decade, and a mom struggling to keep up. Juggling work and family left me feeling burnt out. Yelling and punishments became my go-to tools for managing my kids' constant bickering. But deep down, I knew this wasn't the loving, connected family I envisioned.
One day, a quote struck a chord: "If nothing changes, nothing changes." It was a wake-up call. Parenting wasn't just instinct – it required active learning. The thought of passing on my own childhood baggage was terrifying.
So, I embarked on a journey. I devoured parenting books by child psychologists and neuroscientists, explored gentle parenting podcasts, and dove into positive discipline and conscious parenting courses. To my shock, I realized everything I'd been doing was off-track.……。
Knowing what to do and actually doing it were two different things. My buttons were still easily pushed, and old habits die hard. That's when I knew I needed support. I started working with a parenting coach – weekly at first, then transitioning to monthly and eventually, as-needed sessions.
Slowly, the changes began to take hold. I could feel a shift in my connection with my kids. Our home transformed from a tense environment to one filled with laughter and hugs. Even my kids noticed the difference. Before bed, they wouldn't just say "I love you," but things like "Thank you for understanding, Mom" or "Thanks for listening."
Here's the truth: yelling, shaming, and punishment won't stop your kids from loving you. But it can make them lose love for themselves.
